The medalion at her neck, the ribbon over her belly, the blue upsidedown baby, the number of stars, the heart clouds, the gold ribon, the number of roses in the crown--everything meant something. Unfortunately, I forgot all of it. Isn’t that weird? I've never seen one with the light-energy thing in the womb. Or maybe it is the "eye of God"? At least that is my take on the painting. But I guess the Virgen is a manifestation of the Virgen Mary, Christ's mother. Thanks for sending the photo. I'd travel to Crucecita just to see this iglesia.
