Hi you two....
A late Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year. Earl and I are off to see Jeff, Sarah and the boys tomorrow. After a few fun filled days with them, we're headed to Florida hoping to find some sunshine before returning to Eugene. You two are an inspiration....every time I read one of your postings my heart leaps and my feet itch! "On the road again..." Love you guys, Cindy

Merry Christmas Josh and Cheyanne,
I miss you guys and have thought of you over the holidays. Your Dad and Mom are absolutely right, reading about your adventures is joyous and fun.

We have enjoyed our slightly suburban (we've moved to Mill Valley) holiday -- went on two beautiful hikes on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, went into the city to enjoy what Sebastian calls the "best Christmas town ever," have also enjoyed having multi-colored lights in our very own yard... as well as a light-up polar bear, the boys are thrilled with their spying/adventuring and racing Christmas presents but are now absolutely exhausted from the excitement of it all.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too!

Hello from up North,
I wanted to add my two bits and say Merry Christmas. I finally got to catch up on your adventures a couple days ago when I was up before the rest. I am still smiling.
I am happy you are safe and learned to relax with Mother Nature's ways. You are leading the way for Cheryl and I to venture forth when our time comes....
Cheryl has been a wonderful hostess to our visitors and I think everyone is enjoying the family gathering. She has been Queen of the kitchen even though that is not her thing. I am grateful for her spunk and warmth.
Hopefully we will get our turn to join you somewhere, keep up the colorful discourse. Thanks.
Love

Merry Christmas Joshua and Cheyenne! I have been thinking for weeks about you and your peace and quiet. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas. My 28 second graders ached for Santa to come and struggled through the last days of school while I invented distractions to keep my sanity. And then . . . just when I was about to take a relaxing breath, the reality that I (we) were hosting Lar's kids and the grandkids for Christmas exploded into my consciousness. This has been my first quiet moment . . . ahh. I am savoring it.

Your dad couldn't have said it better, reading and day dreaming about you makes me smile too.
Love, mom cher

Cheyenne and Joshua,
I've been thinking about you both these past days, and hope you are anchored in a peaceful, un-squally place with no huge crocodiles. We had a lovely Mexican feast with Kathy Dannreuther and her guy, Bruce. The dogs got into the Christmas cookies (my famous "logs") and got sick on the Oriental rug, natch. They swiped the cookies off the coffee table. We drank too much egg nog and ate too many tamales, but had a lovely evening. Went to the Tumacacori Mission to look at thousands of luminaria glowing at night, and it was magical. Today we will hike in the canyon and do some bird-watching. Merry Christmas to you both. Love, Mom and Dad
