Everyone keeps telling me to see that movie Sicko but after this whole health insurance fiasco, I think it would probably kill me from irritation and frustration. We got it in the end, Oregon has a law stating that preexisting conditions can't disqualify a person from insurance--you just have to wait 6 months for it to kick in. Unless you have prior coverage. Which I did!--Oh, no but it doesn't count because no foreign coverage counts. Oh well. I'll be covered just in time for delivery if I carry fully to term so you know, I'll keep my legs crossed. Yes. Alternative countries were a huge part of our decision. Panama, for example, had a great affordable health system from what I experienced. Yep, turns out we are both due within a week or two too.
