We found we could live well on a couple of hundred a month, but our maintenace fees were higher (Mostly fuel, I think. I loved Xenos, but if there was one single thing I could change it would be: I wish we had had a boat that could move in light air. We had nothing from a stonking sail in northern Costa Rica to the Canal, and much of southern Mexico was flat calm too. There was a lot of sitting in a boat the size of a bathroom with a tractor engine reverbrating...). 

We worked out once that maintenance was about 1 week of work per month of sailing.</description>
