We had nothing from a stonking sail in northern Costa Rica to the Canal, and much of southern Mexico was flat calm too. There was a lot of sitting in a boat the size of a bathroom with a tractor engine reverbrating...). We worked out once that maintenance was about 1 week of work per month of sailing.
